The mission of the Laurel Highlands Literary Magazine, Adoxography, is to emphasize the creative abilities of our student body and faculty through published pieces of fine writing, art, and photography. Adoxography uses electronic media to showcase our undiscovered artists and authors and to share their talents with the school and local community.

"Life's Journey"

Lorien Seaton, 10th

I look out to the world and see all flames

Smoldering the things I love, mocking me like maims

I see moon and stars and watch them rotate

But never truly realizing the importance of their state

I look to the world and see as it crumbles

I weep without thought, and it truly does humble

For all I see is a world broken burned and battered

While the soul inside of me resilient, refuses to shatter

As the fire falls fleeting and the stars are retreating

A ray of fresh beginning so bright and unfleeting

It blesses the ground from ash brings new life

Green dances all around in the fair sunlight

For their soul did not leave them just once needed found

And now I’ll grow lighter my roots now in their ground
